Uhuru Museum (Uru Road, Moshi) – Uhuru museum is an intercultural museum established to depict different cultures. The idea born by Mr. Macmilan Siraki, an abstract artist and painter, who, while working in his studio in 1986 dreamt, ” Now I am just a curio shop but when I grow up I will become a museum”. From that day he started collecting cultural objects with the vision of moving to the establishment of a museum.
Visiting this museum makes you not only interact with the Chagga culture that exists in the Moshi area, but also with other cultures from the rest of the world. Note: there’s a small restaurant at that location. Various artworks are showcased by the dining area.
