TAXI — taxis can be found at all airports throughout each island that has one (which is not always the case), along with public square at all major towns. Visitors are advised to ask the driver before boarding the vehicle what the fare is to one’s destination before going any further. At tourist areas such as Sal island, a typical fare (e.g. from Sal airport to Santa Maria) can go at around 1,000 CVE (€9.18 Euro). Note that there is also a 30% surcharge at night.
